CRISIS RESPONSE CHECKLIST (FIRST 24 HOURS) Restaurant Coaching Solutions - restaurantcoachingsolutions.com FIRST HOUR [ ] Safety first: is anyone hurt or at risk? Is there a food safety issue? Fix that before anything else. [ ] Decide who speaks for the restaurant (one person). Everyone else says: "Our owner will respond today." [ ] Save evidence: screenshots, links, times, names of staff on shift. Don't delete posts or comments. FIRST FOUR HOURS [ ] Get the facts: what happened, when, who was involved, what was affected. [ ] Take the obvious corrective step (pull product, clean and sanitize, take staff off schedule pending review). [ ] Call your health department if food safety may be involved. Call your insurer and, if needed, a lawyer. FIRST DAY [ ] Post a short statement where the problem is being discussed: what happened, what you've done, what's next. [ ] Use a real person's name and face if a video or photo started it. [ ] Answer direct questions politely. Don't argue in comments. [ ] Brief your staff before their next shift. AFTERWARDS [ ] Follow up publicly when the promised steps are done. [ ] Write down what you'd change and update this checklist.
